The global fad for eating stuff grown nearby and recently gets mouthwatering treatment at the personal restaurant of chef Valters Zirdziņš.


Nicely situated in an Old Riga house dating from 1702 and rustically sprinkled inside with Latvian landscapes, the meat, fish, vegetables, dairy and bread are only from Latvia, selected by Valters from small farms he personally visits around the country. The house joke is that only the salt, pepper and coffee are imported, and the eye-catching meals are even served on local wood, ceramics and stone instead of plates. 


The drinks menu has a rich selection of local liquids. Business lunches are great value and include vegetarian options. Booking ahead is recommended.
