Occupying a cellar dating from 1454 and serving thirsty Riga folk since 1975, no other Old Town bar can match the history of Lāsīte. Ghost sightings have been
reported, and back in the day communist leaders allegedly warmed up with a dram here while reviewing October Revolution parades (the two may not be related). The ye olde decor and live
music give just enough medieval mood without getting tacky, and you will soon be happily swaying along with your beer mug. The outside terrace is one of the sweetest in the city.
The only complaint is the sky-high price of some main courses, but if you choose carefully or just drink, a great time is on the cards.
